Advanced Surgical Care for Complex Ankle Conditions
The ankle is one of the most mechanically demanding joints in the body, and when pain, instability, or degeneration reaches a point where daily function is compromised, surgery offers a path toward meaningful, lasting improvement. At Valley Podiatry and Wound Care Center, Dr. Samuel Enyew performs a full range of ankle surgical procedures for patients throughout Mission, Rio Grande City, Weslaco, and the surrounding Rio Grande Valley, from minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures to complex reconstructive surgery.
Every surgical plan begins with a thorough understanding of the patient's condition, functional goals, and overall health, ensuring the approach chosen is the right one for that individual's situation.

Getting to the Right Diagnosis
Many ankle conditions share overlapping symptoms, and arriving at the correct surgical plan depends on a precise understanding of what's happening inside the joint. Patients visiting our Mission, Rio Grande City, or Weslaco office undergo a detailed physical examination of ankle stability, range of motion, and pain location, combined with imaging that may include digital X-ray, diagnostic ultrasound, or advanced imaging when needed.
This evaluation not only confirms the diagnosis but also determines whether surgery is truly necessary, or whether a period of additional conservative management is worth pursuing first.
