Our Diagnostic & Treatment Technology
Digital X-Ray
Digital X-ray allows Dr. Enyew to capture immediate, high-quality images of the bones and structures of the foot and ankle without the wait time associated with traditional film X-ray. Images are available within seconds and can be reviewed with the patient during the same visit, supporting faster diagnosis and more informed treatment decisions.
What digital X-ray helps us identify:
- Fractures and stress fractures
- Bone spurs and calcifications
- Joint space narrowing from arthritis
- Structural deformities such as flat foot or bunion progression
- Bone involvement in diabetic wounds and infections
Diagnostic Ultrasound
Unlike X-ray, which images bone, diagnostic ultrasound provides real-time visualization of the soft tissue structures of the foot and ankle, without radiation. This makes it an invaluable tool for evaluating tendons, ligaments, and the plantar fascia, and for assessing circulation in patients with diabetic or vascular-related conditions.
What diagnostic ultrasound helps us evaluate:
- Tendon tears, thickening, or inflammation
- Ligament integrity and joint instability
- Plantar fascia thickness in cases of plantar fasciitis
- Soft tissue masses or fluid collections
- Blood flow assessment in wound care and vascular evaluation
PRP Therapy
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a regenerative treatment that uses the patient's own blood to stimulate healing in damaged tissue. A small blood sample is drawn and processed in-office to concentrate the growth factors found in platelets, which are then injected directly into the affected area to accelerate the body's natural healing response.
PRP therapy is used at our offices for:
- Chronic plantar fasciitis that hasn't responded to conventional treatment
- Tendon injuries and tendinopathy
- Non-healing or slow-healing wounds
- Joint inflammation associated with arthritis

Custom Orthotics
Off-the-shelf insoles address general comfort, but they don't correct the biomechanical issues that cause many foot and ankle conditions to develop or worsen over time. Our custom orthotics are fabricated from precise digital 3D foot scans taken in-office, producing devices fitted to the exact contours and mechanics of each patient's foot.
Custom orthotics are used to:
- Support and correct flat foot and arch collapse
- Reduce pressure on painful areas such as heel spurs or diabetic ulcers
- Correct gait abnormalities contributing to tendon or joint strain
- Slow the progression of deformities like bunions and hammertoes
- Provide long-term support following surgical recovery
Completed devices are dispensed at your follow-up visit, and adjustments can be made based on how they feel during daily use.
