Expert Care for Foot & Ankle Injuries
Foot and ankle injuries can sideline anyone, whether you're a competitive athlete, a weekend runner, or someone who simply took a hard step the wrong way. At our Mission, Rio Grande City, and Weslaco offices, Valley Podiatry and Wound Care Center diagnoses and treats the full range of sports-related and traumatic foot and ankle injuries, with the goal of getting you back to your activities safely and avoiding long-term complications.
Dr. Samuel Enyew evaluates each injury thoroughly, since fractures, soft tissue injuries, and overuse conditions can present with similar symptoms, and builds a recovery plan based on the specific type and severity of your injury.

Evaluating Your Feet for Injury
Whether you visit our Mission, Rio Grande City & Weslaco office, your evaluation begins with a discussion of how the injury occurred, when symptoms started, and what activities make them better or worse. Dr. Enyew then examines the foot and ankle for swelling, bruising, tenderness, and range of motion, and typically orders a digital X-ray to check for fractures or bone involvement.
This evaluation determines whether you're dealing with a fracture, soft tissue injury, or overuse condition, so treatment addresses the actual injury rather than just the symptoms.
